Original contest announcement:
14 June 2016 | June 21 marks the 4th anniversary of the launch of the Zero Hunger Challenge by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. In celebration, we’re hosting a photo competition on our brand new Instagram account!
[21 June 2016 | Update: as of 4pm EST the contest has CLOSED. Stay tuned to find out about the winners. Thanks for playing….]
From now through 4pm EST on the 21st, you can share a photo on Instagram of what you or your organization is doing to achieve zero hunger and malnutrition, and the deep transformations required of agriculture and food systems to build an inclusive, safe, sustainable and resilient society.
We’re especially looking for photos that illustrate actions in line with one or more of the 5 ZHC elements, and that support more than one of the Global Goals – like Zero Hunger AND gender equality, clean energy, or climate action.
Instagram entries should use the hashtags #ZeroHunger & #ZeroHungerChallenge and tag us, @zerohungerchallenge, to enter.
At 4:00pm EST on June 21st, we will select four winners and share their photos on Instagram. Each of the winners will also be invited to turn their pictures into an official Zero Hunger poster, to be shared with the Global Movement worldwide!
